Design Facades: PC glazing elements for noble facades
In co-operation with the famous architectural office Herzog
& de Meuron in Basel / Switzerland, a new product-line for a 40 mm panel with 4 walls was created.
This allows for only giving either the inner or outer wall of the panels a transparent colour, Providing for a very interesting 3-dimensional effect.
This technique, for which RODECA has a patent, was applied for the LABAN-Centre in London and this project was awarded the STIRLING AWARD in October 2003.
Design Possibilities:
- HEATBLOC on the outer wall - reduces up to 60% of the infrared rays
- Clear colour on the outer wall and inner wall in opal-antiblind for example
- Reflecting outer wall with aluminium design and inner wall translucent
- Clear colour on the outer wall and inner wall coloured for 3-dimensional effect
